Hans Leitgeb is Professor of Logic and Philosophy of Language at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. PhD in Mathematics and PhD in Philosophy, both from the University of Salzburg, Austria, he received a Humboldt Professorship in 2010. He was Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Salzburg, he researched at the Stanford University, USA, worked at the Departments of Philosophy and Mathematics in Bristol, England, and became professor of mathematical logic and philosophy of mathematics. He is currently director of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy. His areas of interest include logic, epistemology, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of language, cognitive science, philosophy of science, and history of philosophy .
